Potter, Teacher and Ceramic Artist
Jenny Barton is a potter with an incredible range of skills.  She studied ceramics at Portsmouth University and Bath Spa University where she gained both a City & Guilds and BA Hons degree in ceramic design.  Her range includes thrown domestic ware, press moulds, figurative sculptures and production pottery.  Jenny also dabbles in print-making and painting when time permits between production, teaching and being mother to a young son.  Her ceramic work can be found at Gallery 8 in Glastonbury, Bettles in Romsey, Fisherton Mill in Salisbury, VictoriArt in Taunton and Sea Street Gallery in Newport, Isle of Wight.

Jenny is qualified in adult teacher training, has a current CRB enhanced check and is a member of BANA, Somerset Partnership of Arts and EDucation Agency, the Creative Learning Agency, and Frome Creative Network .  Workshops and pottery classes from her studio at Enigma include adult, after-school, family,  pre-school groups as well as adult and childrens parties.  She has also run regular craft and pottery classes at a residential home for the elderly.   Workshops have been held for NESA, SPLASH, Somerset County Training, Somerset Young Mothers, Home Education Groups and local schools; and she would be pleased to chat about any pottery session requirements for community groups.   Please contact for more details.
